Re: Boreal Forest
She looked over the brute, seeing that he looked quite small, but usually all wolves did to her. A small frown showed on her features, "I'm sure Snow would allow you to have a small bite to eat from our kill. Maybe you'd like to join also? We wouldn't turn away a new member." with an irritated flick of her tail she nodded about his quiet question.
Re: Boreal Forest
Snow receptors perked as she heard Blizzard was hurt. However she watched as he got up and also saw his blood dripping slowly onto the ground. "Blizzard stay where you are! You are in now condition to be moving!" The Alphess ordered with a slight growl. The lupine obviously didn't seem to care that he might die from blood loss from moving around to much. Her sea blue gaze then turned toward the intruding male. Snow raised her tail slightly making sure that her dominance was known to the male before speaking. "Yes you may eat. After we have eaten though since you are a loner and you must know of ranks of the wolves. After that you can have your fill because there will be plenty left." Snow said calmly her banner flicking behind her slowly before turning away from the male and toward the dead bull elk.
Re: Boreal Forest
Blizzard sits at his alphesses orders and wait for permission to eat". He hears a hiss and turns only to get clawed in the cheek. He flys and hits the elks carcass. He growls and gets up"Cougar". He snarls and lnges at the cougar and tackles and rolls down a hill with it. He bites the cougars neck and pushes it away from the pack. -God this thing is tough- he thought and snarled and dodged a swipe.

Re: Boreal Forest
"I won't take others food unless I have permission" he murmured smiling at her silent answer "I can wait for a while". In truth he could. He'd been waiting for a while to eat actual fresh meat so he knew his stomach could hold for a little while longer.

Re: Boreal Forest
She smiled briefly at the multicoloured brute before turning away and padding back down to the elk, flicking her banner in a silent 'come with me' manor. She stayed back from the fresh kill allowing her alphess to eat like she always has in the past. She was visibly relaxed now but it was easy to see she was still uneasy with the two recently joined members. Her receptors were still pricked, flickering at the slightest sound almost like she was expecting one of them to attack.
Re: Boreal Forest
Blizzard lays down injured jealousy builds up as the male stay near and smiles at Cherokee. He keeps his cool and sighs trying to rest.

Re: Boreal Forest
He smiled at Cherokee and followed her. He knew his place. He'd eat last after the ranks before him had had their turns. He stared hungrily at the meal but kept a whine from escaping.

Re: Boreal Forest
[Thank you Blizzard]
Snow looked over her shoulders at the lupine before turning toward the dead elk. There was sure to be a lot of flesh on this for the entire pack, and maybe even to more days to come. Her tail flicked as she gaped her maw open to reveal still crimson stained canines as she sank them into the soft flesh of the elk's flank. This was were the softest flesh was located and the most nutritious as well. Her fangs slipped in easily into the flesh and twisting her nape, she twisted it and pulled back. A satisfying ripping sound could be heard as she ripped off a large chunk of elk meat and began to chew it before it slid warmly down her throat.

Re: Boreal Forest
Cherokee sat waiting patiently for the vixen to get her fill, and she glanced over at the multi-tawny hued brute. "So where did you come from?" she questioned quietly, she never liked talking loudly when only speaking to only a certain wolf, if there were more then she would.
Re: Boreal Forest
"Well.." he said shifting his paws letting his attention stray back to Cherokee "I actually don't remember. I just know that men have something to do with it. They killed my parents. I'm not going to speak of it right now". He smiled softly at her his eyes bright and his banner wagging happily.

Re: Boreal Forest
"I've never had the 'pleasure' of meeting any of the men who travel these lands." she murmured, filling the word pleasure full of venom. "But I apologize. Loosing your parents must be hard. I haven't seen mine in months now."
Re: Boreal Forest
"Thanks" he murmured softly seeing that her voice was filled with venom. Men were awful and now he vowed he would hurt a few in his life. He lifted his gaze to the sky an sighed. He did miss his parents and right now he felt for Cherokee. "Well enough with that" he said firmly "I dont want to be sad my first day here"

Re: Boreal Forest
She smiled softly at him "Well maybe after we eat I can show you around so you're not lost on your first day here either." she curled her banner around her fore paws to keep them from the chilling wind that was starting to blow. She could smell the scent of fresh snow coming soon, secretly she loved snow but would never really show it.
Re: Boreal Forest
"That would be very nice Cherokee" he murmured dipping his head. He made a sma step toward the kill just looking to see if the Alpha was done with her share.

Re: Boreal Forest
Snow wasn't the least bit surprised that her pack mates let her eat first. That was how the ranks ate, but knowing that most of them must be hungry, she made sure to quickly get her fill. Luckily for most of the wolves here, she had a small stomach and could go a long time without eating. After about 5 mouthfuls of meat, she raised her skull and parted her maw open so her salmon colored tongue could lap at the side of her jaws. Blood covered her tongue now making it a lighter shade of red instead of the dark color. After shaking her thick coat, she turned back toward her pack, and as usual her receptors were swivel. Even after licking at the blood that now covered her muzzle, it was still lightly stained and to get rid of more of it, she stuck her jaws into the pure white snow. Shaking her cranium around a little, some of the blood rubbed off into the ground, but still some stained her jaws. It would go away for a couple days, but due to her expressionless features, it made her look more intimidating. "Blizzard. Cherokee. You may eat now." The Alphess said calmly as she moved a little distance away from the freshly killed elk. Steam emitted from its body into the cold air. The vixen then moved a bit toward the lone wolf, her sea blue eyes expressionless.
Re: Boreal Forest
He sighed slight hearing the Alpha call for Cherokee and Blizzard to wait their share. He shrugged and lay down, setting his multi colored hair on his paws keeping his ears pricked.

Re: Boreal Forest
Snow watched the lupine's actions. She wasn't surprised about that since he didn't really know anyone here. She flicked her large banner behind her medium stature. "So tell me your name." The Alphess asked as she sat her flank down onto the cold snow. Thanks to her body heat, the spot she was now sitting on was quickly melting which made it more comfortable for her. Her receptors no longer swiveled as they perked forward making sure to be able to hear the slightest noise that the male made. Her body language however, had turned from tense, to actually relaxed as she was getting used to the wolf near her. So far he wasn't a threat, but she wanted to make sure that it would remain that way.
Re: Boreal Forest
She stood and padded towards the kill, glancing behind her at the multicoloured brute who had just laid down. "Gavin you can eat with me if you'd like, I don't bite too much." she smirked, with a flick of her banner she continued to the kill, seeing her marks from when they killed it, she bit down on the already tenderized flesh, breaking through the bone she started to dig out the flesh and vital organs from the front of the elk. Her receptors twitched at Snow's voice, figuring the brute wouldn't be joining her at the kill anytime soon she continued eating.

Re: Boreal Forest
"Gavin" he murmured to her sitting up "Gavin Deveraux is the full name but I'm rarely called that". He dipped his head in respect as he'd done with Cherokee. This female seemed to be relaxed with him which made him a little less wary of her.

Re: Boreal Forest
The vixen flicked her ear in hearing his name. She of course had heard more stranger names, like her sister, Boo, who she had no idea where she was residing at the moment. Then the Alphess curled her banner around her colorless paws as she moved her body into a more relaxed position. A smile spread across her facial features, and as a habit her eyes closed as she did that. "Its nice to meet you Gavin." Snow said happily. This female indeed was different from others. She had a commanding side, but then she had a soft side. Sometimes a lot of wolves couldn't figure her out, which she was perfectly fine which, this was because it made her a harder opponent in battle.
Re: Boreal Forest
He smiled softly at her his gaze watching her intently. She seemed calm and obviously not on a defensive mode. He calmed completely now letting his shoulders fall with happiness. He looked over at Cherokee and a soft smile appeared in his features.

Re: Boreal Forest
She got her fill and knowing how Blizzard would react to Gavin taking from the kill before him without her sitting there she tore a nice size chunk of meat from the elk's side and padded over to the two smaller lupines, a small nod was directed towards Snow before she set the chunk of meat down for Gavin. "Here, eat then we can head out if it's okay with Snow."
Re: Boreal Forest
"Thank you" he said softly and crouched down tearing at the meat with a deadly snap of something. He sighed and politely chewed before letting it slide down his throat with a satisfied smile.

Re: Boreal Forest
Snow watched her Betess in action as she heard ripping from the body of the dead elk. Thanks to the snow, it quickly began to get cold from the weather. However a tingle rippled up through snow's spine as she glanced up at the sky. It was then that she noticed that the sky was covered in dark hued clouds, which was never a good sign in this part of the territory. Her banner flicked as her body quickly became tense. Then suddenly a gust of wind hit powerfully against her back and parted her thick fur. Even though she was meant for the cold, that one gust of wind gave her chills. Well this can't be good... Snow thought to herself as she began to sniff the air trying to scent if there was a storm brewing.
Re: Boreal Forest
"Do you want to eat some more before we go explore?" she asked softly, a shiver ran down her spine as the wind whipped her fur all around. "We should probably hurry."
